ABOUT ME

My name is Peter Davis. I’m a sports photographer and senior studying Sports Media at Indiana University Bloomington.

My journey in photography began as the team photographer for my high school’s men’s lacrosse team during my senior year. I spent a year and a semester at Emory & Henry University as an NCAA Division II swimmer while serving as a gameday photography intern for the athletic communications department. During that time, I covered all home games across the university’s 24 varsity sports.

As my collegiate swimming career came to an end, I decided to transfer to Indiana University to place myself in an environment that would challenge me creatively and professionally.

Today, I work as a photo intern for the Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media and Technology at Indiana University, capturing moments across all 24 Indiana University athletic teams for use by Indiana Athletics. From the intensity of Big Ten football to the precision of Olympic-level swimmers, I’m devoted to documenting the emotion, dedication, and energy that athletes bring to their sport through unique and intimate visuals. During the 2025–26 season, I served as the lead photographer for IU's men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams, documenting their journey through the season and ultimately covering the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Atlanta.
